Hardware Setup

In this image, we showcase our project's hardware setup. The PCB contains the power management unit, sensor circuitry, and microcontroller circuitry along with other important aspects of the system required to make the PCB run smoothly. We see two stand-alone sensors - touch sensor and pulse sensor connected separately so that the patient is not tethered to the board. The temperature/humidity sensor is housed on the PCB.

Tera Term

On this console, we showcase our results upon running our script on Atmel studio. As shown in the figure, the sensor data like temperature, relative humidity, and pulse values are being sent to the subscribed topic on the HiveMQ server.

Node Red

In order to implement the concept of IoT and in order for the medical professional to inspect the patient's vitals without visiting him/her physically, we created a dashboard on which we deploy the sensor data.

The line graph in the figure shows the pulse. In cases of Arrhythmia, the graph would show abnormal spikes and this can prompt the medical professional to call for medical intervention immediately.
